On the Road Again...
This year I have been no stranger to traveling and I have found that I purely enjoy it. About a year ago this would not have been the case. I guess you could say my life was pretty much unadventurous. My experience of travel had been a day or weekend trip here or there and nothing too far away -- Florida, Georgia (home), South Carolina, and North Carolina (birth home). In December 2015, I got on an airplane for the very first time to visit my sister in Connecticut, it scared the hell out of me but also ignited a love for travel. My latest adventure took me by car from South Georgia to Whiteville, North Carolina; to Outer Banks, North Carolina; to Ocean City, New Jersey; to Atlantic City, New Jersey; and then by bus to Hartford/Windsor, Connecticut -- later returning home by airplane.
Some things that I have learned makes travel easier: (1) Wheels... The less you carry the better... So if you are using a backpack for your personal item, strap it on your carry on suitcase and get rolling... (2) If they offer to check your carry on for free or do curb pick up... DO IT! Your body will thank you for it later... and (3) Keep your meds and other important stuff with you at all times of course...
