Ups and Downs 2019

I started the year happy and hopeful but in March that changed. On March 7th, my cat Neko passed away suddenly. One day he was happy, running through the "Great Flood of 2019" (yes, I accidentally flooded almost-all of the downstairs of the house) and three days later he was gone. Neko was my baby, my rock, he was my best friend. He got me through the loss of both of my parent, my MS diagnosis, and much more. I fell into a deep depression and gained 16 lbs. Some people are probably thinking good grief it was a cat, get over it, which is much easier said than done. I got Neko as a kitten, he wasn't weaned and he was abandoned, I had him for almost 15 years. Call me crazy if you want but I looked at him as if he were my own child -- I really loved him.
